Garden rooms and timber structures

Ground screws can provide support points for a coordinated timber or steel base while reducing excavation and wet concrete work. The layout should follow the frame, openings and intended load paths.

Extensions and modular buildings

Extensions and larger modular structures can introduce higher loads, interfaces with existing buildings, level requirements and regulatory considerations. Structural design and project-specific verification may be required.

Decking and external structures

Decking, walkways and other external timber structures still need a layout suited to spans, edge conditions, levels and site exposure. Small structures are not exempt from ground and access constraints.

Solar support

Ground screws may be considered for ground-mounted solar frames where the structural system, ground, corrosion environment, installation method and project testing requirements align.

The solar visual in this library is an application illustration, not evidence of a completed Ground Screw Company solar project.

RESPONSIBLE USE

An application category is not a specification. Suitability and design must be established for the actual structure and site.
